About

Our data platform allows for rapid creation and deployment of custom healthcare intelligence solutions.  The following are some of the more common data elements that we incorporate into a solution:

  1. Medicare Cost Report Data:  Institutional healthcare providers are required to submit an annual cost report to Medicare.  These reports contain a wealth of financial, statistical and other characteristics for nearly every healthcare facility in the U.S., including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities (SNF), home health agencies (HHA), federally qualified health centers (FQHC) and renal facilities.

  2. Healthcare Facility Characteristics:  Characteristics for nearly every facility in the U.S. including but not limited to Medicare CCN number, organization name, address, CBSA, urban vs rural classification, provider type, Medicare eligibility, intermediary name, bed count, ownership type, Medicare star ratings and more.

  3. Physician Characteristics:  Characteristics for nearly every physician and other practitioner in the U.S. include but not limited to NPI, full name, credential, medical school, graduation year, primary and secondary specialties, organization (physician group), group practice members, organization address, hospital affiliations and more.

  4. Facility Wage Index:  Most Medicare reimbursement methodologies use wage indexes as part of the payment calculation.  Our platform contains historical wage indexes for nearly every healthcare facility in the U.S.

  5. Claim Characteristics:  Claims contain a wealth of information but are often in a very raw format.  Our platform brings deep insight by adding characteristics such as diagnosis name, major diagnostic category, diagnosis related group (DRG), clinical classification grouping, ambulatory payment classifications (APC), Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS), comorbidities and more.

  6. Demographic Information:  Demographic information by zip code with breakdown by age, race, sex, average income, education, employment and more.

  7. Participation in Medicare Programs:  Participation by hospitals and physician groups in the various Medicare alternate payment model programs, including the Bundled Payment for Care Improvement Classic (BPCI Classic), BPCI Advanced and Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR) programs.

Our platform is certainly not limited to the above data elements.  Contact us to discuss how we may be able to create a customized solution for you!
